Mathis Uelner mainly advises national and international clients in the fields of medical technology and mechanical engineering. His work focuses on opposition and appeal proceedings before the German Patent and Trade Mark Office as well as the European Patent Office. Moreover, he has extensive experience in drafting patent applications as well as in advising clients in national and international patent examination procedures.

As part of his dissertation, he developed a prototype for mechanical characterization of biological samples on nanoscale. The experiences gained due to combining engineering, natural sciences and medical technology continue to impact his technical focus. The scientific results of his research have been used in scientific publications and patent applications.
