Philip Hellmann joined Thum & Partner in 2025 as a patent engineer and is seeking admission as German and European Patent Attorney.

During his studies of Aerospace Engineering, he focused on the topics of recycling powdered metal for metal 3D printing as well as on designing and constructing an injector element for an aerospike rocket engine for his bachelor’s and master’s thesis respectively.

Furthermore, he has profound knowledge in the field of metal 3D printing of aerospace components, which he acquired while working for a leading engine manufacturer in Germany.
