Leander Lenhard advises clients on all aspects of intellectual property law, primarily in the fields of automotive technology, medical technology, information technology, robotics, materials technology and general mechanical engineering. He has experience in German and European opposition proceedings as well as in nullity and infringement cases. He has also drafted well over 100 patent applications and supervised numerous examination proceedings.
Before joining Thum & Partner as a patent attorney, he worked for one of the largest German patent law firms in Munich.
Leander Lenhard has an extensive technical background. He studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich, specializing in helicopter technology and thermo-fluid dynamics. He also has several years of experience as a development engineer at BMW.
